Learmonth Street

"family friendly"

Learmonth street is lovely & high & has beautiful veiws to the hills. It's lay back relaxed living central to Muswellbrooke/ Scone/ Quirindi & Tamworth. Waking up in Learmonth street you can sit out the back in the sun, watching & listening to the birds (King parrots - my favourite) & the cattle 'mooing' in the distance. Every now & then the dear & kangaroo's sneak down from the hills behind or you can sit on the front porch & see the centre of town in the distance with the hills as a backdrop. The air is fresh & you can hear the happy noise of children playing & laughing. There's plenty of open space between homes so you get the feeling of being open but still retaining your own privacy. The street is secure / friendly & everyone gives you a wave to greet you as you come & go.
Willow Tree might seem like a 'blink & you'll miss it' kind of town but for such a small town it has a fantastic community atmosphere. You can do as much or as little as you'd like. Get actively involved with the Lions club, Tennis & horse sports or bowls or go to many of the towns functions & activities organised on a regular basis (most recent deb ball, melbourne cup day, trivia night & thats just in the last couple of weeks). Sat nights are generally @ the local pub for raffles & a feed & Friday nights the bowling club do a delicious meal. There's plenty of room for the kids to play & run around outside or just enjoy the clubs games room with playstation indoors, everybody wins! With it's fantastic little schools, Willow Tree is an family friendly place to be & we can't understand why families aren't moving to little towns in droves because best of all it's AFFORDABLE country living were you really can just enjoy being together.
