Wilston

The above reviewer must've lived on either Newmarket or Kedron Brook Road for it to be noisy, anywhere other than facing onto these streets and you'll find peace and quiet. Wilston village has some great places to eat, locals fill the cafes on the weekends. The place has a great atmosphere. There's some good restaurants as well as some cheaper options for takeout.

Access is fine if you are going down Newmarket Road towards Enoggera Rd, but going in and out of Lutwyche Rd has always been pretty bad in peak hour (could always try some shortcuts though). Lot's of choices for public transport, the train is only a 100m from Wilston village.

All in all it's a great place to live, much quieter and safer than the city without being more than 10min away.
