I agree with others, Macquarie Fields is not like it is perceived, unfortunately bad news travels faster than good. It is excellent for families - selective high school, local tafe, leisure centres, rail and plenty of green space - not closed in by other suburbs. I have raised my family here and found the location central to all our needs, our suburb is a well kept secret, all the negative attention however has kept our real estate down but by default has allowed good hard working families the opportunity of affordable housing into a great suburb which over time won't be a secret anymore.
