Regency Downs

"heaven for motorbike, hell for everyone else"

if you love listening to noisy motorbikes all day this is the place for you, if you dont care how fast people drive and kill native animals you'll love living here. However if you do complain about the motorbikes expect to have your property damaged or your animals injured. The local motorbike riders run Regency Downs and no one in aurthority will do anything about it. Your shopping is limited so prices are what ever they want, only eating out is junk food, and the council wont keep the street clean and tidy, if you dont mow the nature stip is stays overgrowen. Forget about being safe 5 houses were broken into in one street in one month (still no one charged). Properties are overgrowen and snakes are everywhere. There are no parks or recreation facilities the only thing you get from the council is you bin emptied weekly and you may have to pick most of it up of the street as the person driving the truck cant be bothered if it goes in the truck or not. This is the worst place to buy and you wont sell in a hurry.

this is the biggest pack of drivel I have read so far here. What do you expect from someone who lives rural, then whines there is nowhere to eat out? lol And complains about snakes? ha ha The poster doesnt seem to understand the diffrence between rural and city living!

There are parks if you actually LOOK! Most properties are tidy. Renters usually dont mow a lot - so whats new?

Prices at Woolies are the same as anywhere else. Petrol at Rustys is often cheaper than in Brisbane.

Get a clue!

Is it true about the bikes?

bill_smith

Not really. It sporadic in all rural areas , but nearly everyone doesnt want their back yard turned into a bike track, and the dust that goes with it. If it does happen, ts usually a passing thing and the kids give it up eventually. Do your due diligence as usual, and check out the neighbours when buying/renting a place to avoid ratbags.
