Merino Place

"Merino Place, a friendly little street!"

Merino Place is a very small cul de sac with a total of about 12 or 13 houses. The neighbourhood is very friendly, with a couple of young couples and a lot of retirees, and all the neighbours look out for one another here. We often have barbecues and catch up with one another, without living in each others' pockets. We have a strong feeling of community here in Merino Pl, which is one of the things I love about it. It is a quiet street, has great views and has very little to no traffic. There is a park at the end, in Bushranger St, which is great for the kids to play in.

Close to Tweed City, ten minutes from the beach, and within the vicinity of three schools, Merino Place is ideal for a young family looking for a quiet neighbourhood in which to raise their children. I have lived here for ten months and really do enjoy it. There are very few barking dogs in the area, or if they do bark, it is only very occasionally.

There is a bus service that runs right past the end of the street on an hourly basis, one direction is to Murwillumbah, and the other goes to Tweed City, a great mall to shop at.
