West Lawn is not a very safe neighborhood, like many of the neighborhoods around Midway. Englewood and West Englewood are both pretty similar in this regard, and West Elsdon is similar as well.
A buddy of mine lives near West Lawn, and his car has been broken into 3 times this year alone. Look elsewhere.

West Lawn is a lot like nearby neighborhoods--there are both good and bad qualities. It is a diverse area with many things going for it, but does have some safety issues. I'd say it's similar to West Elsdon, but quite a bit safer.
