What is the best neighborhood to live in Westchester County?

One of the best things about Westchester it that there are many "best" neighborhoods. From its large farm estate origin it became the country escape for the wealthy and powerful. With the exception of a few 'large' cities like Yonkers and White Plains, Westchester retains the country atmosphere by being sub-divided into dozens of small hamlets and villages and large wooded preserves and protected lake reservoirs for drinking. The "best" village depends on your needs - do you want a top rated school for your kids, a quality fitness gym, local restaurant of type X, performing arts theater, etc. Do you want a community of 8000 or 40,000?
