Would you suggest buying a first home in Westminster ?

Any particular streets I should be looking at? What's quiet?

Yes, especially since it is so affordable, and you can enjoy one of the many spacious 3x2s popping up absolutely everywhere. Pick your street though, and make sure you install great security and privacy measures, if they aren't already built into your home. We chose a quiet street that wasn't a through-way, and we don't hear a thing at night - I get the best night's sleep. We also chose a back unit for more privacy and hopefully security, which has worked so far. The area is very multicultural. At first it is disconcerting if you haven't been around Arabs or Africans en masse much, but most of them are absolutely delightful, and add a welcome splash of cultural colour to the area. The area no doubt has its problems, but we personally have had no dramas, troubles, crime, or break-ins at all.
