"Inner Suburban Lifestyle"

Ada St is located in a quiet corner of Goodwood, close enough to the friendly shopping village on Goodwood Rd but far enough away from the traffic. Within a couple of minutes walk, there's
- a large green park and playground
- an old style cinema
- a large group of specialty shops, including an amazing butcher and supermarket open 7am-9pm every day
- some very good schools
- the tram direct to the city
- several bus routes
- the Noarlunga and Belair train lines (10 mins walk)
- the Adelaide Showgrounds (far enough away to not be overrun with people parking but close enough to walk)
- great cafes (particularly the Brown Dog Cafe)
- several restaurants including Korean and Vietnamese

It is easy walking distance to King William Road and Unley road for a huge selection of restaurants, cafes and shopping. The CBD is a half hour walk away or a 5 minute drive or 15 minutes by tram, a very good thing as petrol prices continue to rise.

All streets in the area have a 40km/h speed limit making it safer to walk around in. As well as a collection of young families, there is a good mix of retirees, providing a friendly safe atmosphere.

We have lived in the area for 6 months and are very happy to be living in this little corner of inner suburbia.

Update: I gave "internet access" a score of "poor" - the area suffers from Telstra's "pair gain" issues making it difficult to get ADSL service in the area (unless you go with Telstra of course). It also appears cable is unavailable to me, however I do know that (Telstra cable) is generally available in the area.

grrr I hate Telstra! Have you tried something like Unwired? I used to have iBurst before they started messing around with the plans. 3G wireless may start to become competitive soon hopefully :-)

Have tried Telstra NextG - great but expensive. Am now with Optus 3G which is ok but nothing like the speed or reliability as advertised. And I only get 5 Gig :(
