Grand Prix
What do people think about the Formula 1 Grand Prix? It makes living in Albert Park difficult each year. Do you want it gone or do you love it?

I understand how those living in the Albert Park area feel invaded every time that the Grand Prix comes to town. However, that needs to be weighed against the extra tourism it brings to Melbourne as a whole. Having major sporting events in our city is a great promotional tool. It is a way to showcase what Melbourne has to offer. But the jury is out as to whether it makes a profit for the city during that weekend. I personally am not that interested in it but I think it would be a shame if we lost it.
