Huevos rancheros are to die for... and they also have a restaurant in New Brighton in case you're on the other side of the metro.

The Taste of Scandinavia in North Oaks is one of my favorites. Maybe my love of lefse makes me a little biased, but I have really loved everything I've had there.

My favorite restaurant for breakfast in the northern suburbs would be Hudy's Café in Champlin. They have excellent food and they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I highly recommend them. They are located just off Hwy 169 and 114th Ave N just behind the Dairy Queen. Tell them I sent you.

Gorman's Restaurant in Lake Elmo....great family-owned restaurant, been around for a long time. Gorman's has a small-town feel and very family friendly, great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Fantastic atmosphere and family and staff are very friendly. Definitely try for breakfast - but go back and try the malts - fabulous!

I went to Hunters on 65 near East Bethel. They have the biggest pancakes I have ever seen and the amount of food for the money is incredible! You can share a meal.
