What is the traffic like on race days near Ascot race course?

It can get pretty horrendous and it is better to avoid it if you can. Usually they have people guiding traffic and stopping cars getting through so people can access parking and it takes ages. But....now there is the new ''inner'' part of Ascot Waters (between the racecourse and the old bit) so that is no longer available for parking and there is more space further away. I used to live on a street the otehr side of the hwy and you can tell when it is raceday because all of a sudden the street is lined with cars parked there - no sign of people anywhere till after 6pm when they wander back.
