Which streets/area of Ascot Vale to avoid??
Hi single guy in mid thirties moving from Blackburn to inner city of Melbs for work. Would appreciate if any locals could give me some info on streets/areas to avoid in Ascot Vale. ie (Housing commission areas)???

None. This area is welcoming of all people including those in housing commission if you can't accept that then don't move here.

Why bother to comment something rude. If he wants to live in the suburb and wants to know what the best streets/pockets are, there's nothing wrong with that. Housing commission is in many suburbs of Melbourne, so simply saying move to a suburb without any is unrealistic. Also super ironic you say the suburb is welcoming of all people but you don't welcome him. As for the answer, I'm not an expect on Ascot Vale but my aunts' live on South Street and they wouldn't live super close to commission housing so that street may be ok.
