Mechanicsville, is undergoing redevelopment. There are a few nicer properties in this area, but a lot of homes are a bit run down. If you are thinking about buying a house in this neighborhood, it might be a good idea if you can get a great deal on it. But, keep in mind that a lot of properties in this area might require additional funds to fix them up enough to be "livable".
