School fees for Balwyn High or other public schools for AU PR and citizens
Balwyn, VIC 3103 is located within the Boroondara local government area, part of the Melbourne (Greater) Region in Victoria.
Hi.
We gotten our PR last year. We understand and read that studying in public school is free of charge for AU PR and citizens. amy hubby and son in Mel. My son started in Balwyn High in August. We received info on school fees payment in the school port after we login to the school portal. We "ignored" the info and thinking if it is compulsory to pay, they will call and ask. Nothing happen :D
however, now we received school fees for next year grade 9, payable by December , it is more than AUD 1K either per semester or 1 year. Question : is it compulsory to pay or only volunteer basis? Will there be a discrimination if we dont pay. My hubby has been submitting job applications for 4 months.. but only 1 interview and they wanted local experience. the rest either rejection email or no reply at all. Thus, to see additional payment, we are kind of stress.
