We are considering a move from Sydney, any tips please?

Try to find work before you commit to a residential location because traffic congestion can be a problem; then find somewhere between each of your workplaces or handy for public transport. Avoid a few areas that have a high crime rate (google or just ask locals). Decide if your lifestyle involves nightclubbing, bushwalking, the sea, the river, shopping or just a quiet life and pick the areas best for that (ie don't pay to be near the sea if you don't go out often). If you have no children and can do mine-related work (including services), the real money is further north.
