How many dogs and cats are present in the communities around the Binna Burra/Beechmont area?

Are the residents of Beechmonts conscientious controllers of household pets such as dogs and cats? With the proximity to national parks, pets need to be highly controlled to reduce predation on native fauna. This doesn't mean households can't have pets. It just means they should be confined, particularly at night, and trained to remain within their own territory.
We were wondering how many dogs and cats are present in the communities around the Binna Burra/Beechmont area.
