"Good family friendly suburb"

Have been looking for a decent place since 7 months and finally ended up in bellmere. There is a bit of a construction happening with the new Woolworths and the obvious traffic delays. Hoping it eases once the construction completes. Otherwise a decent suburb. Just across the road Childcare

Looking for a home in Bellmere?

"Glad I didnt buy"

I was going to buy a house in 1 of the nicer parts of Bellmere. Driving though the area the other day at the back where they are building the new Woolworths, all the newer houses are crammed together and a friend of mine has had numerous break ins.

Live round the corner, no problems. Walk down those streets regularly-nice and quiet in the evenings.

"Love Bellmere"

Bellmere is a great place close to Brisbane, Sunshine Coast or even the Gold Coast, Bribie Island in another direction Maleny. A river to Kayak 27 kilometres of river views. Walks and parks, undiscovered really.

"Nice suburb but needs a good pub"

Purchased and living here since 9 months. A very nice and clean suburb. Roads are wide enough for the 4WDS and UTEs alike. The upcoming Woolworths shopping complex is a bonus. Hoping to find a job there as it is a stone's throw away from my home. Night life is almost dead.

"Great if not Excellent"

The good things are that it is a very safe and family-friendly suburb. The not so good thing is that the night life is not that great. But with the new Woolworths shopping center coming soon, I hope there are some eateries and pubs that will eventually open up.
Has nice parks for the kids.

Rentals in Bellmere

"Bellmere is a great suburb"

Nice, safe area for young families-townhouses and houses alike. 2 local parks with playgrounds within walking distance of my house. Brand new small park is well maintained for kids only and council responds quickly to any maintenance requests. Public transport (bus). Woolworths soon to go in. Close to Morayfield shopping centre. Choice of private and public schools.

The new woolworths shopping center is supposed to advertise 80 jobs during construction and 230 jobs after opening - specialty stores like eateries, saloon, pub are expected.

"So great for families with children!"

We are just loving Bellmere. It is the quietest place we have ever lived and our neighbours are thoughtful and considerate. There are so many parks and lots of green space. The little corner shopping centre has a surprisingly good grocer who even supplies gluten free bread! There is next to no traffic and the all-round vibe is just lovely. Very good place to raise children - and pets!

"Nice family area"

We are happy residing in Bellmere. It is safe and quiet, the neighbours are friendly and schools are nearby. The parks are good for the kids and the locals who walk their dogs even pick up after themselves. There are alot of families and rent is not cheap enough to attract the noisy young folk.

"Should be renamed "Boganmere""

If you own a holden commodore and are a P plater you will feel right at home in this once beautiful and now virtually treeless suburban desert. Once again devine and co have manage to convert a picturesque piece of Australian wilderness/ acreage into a festpool of maximum density minimum cost housing. The internet access is poor at best (I consider adsl1 pretty poor) thanks to the developers cheap ways. If you own a mobile, although many providers will tell you coverage is excellent, you will be running round your very hastilly and roughly turfed lawn to get signal.

The dogs are friendlier and more intelligent than the humans and will often strike up long distance conversations with you and each other late at night or when you are trying to get your infant son or daughter to rest. They do however possess a better vocabulary and dress sense than most of the locals. Sunday walks can be perilous as often un licensed, un helmetted and un coordinated trail bike riders (on un registered bikes) choose this holiest of days to venture forth at high speed. Hopefully this will result in a well needed process of natural selection.

The local bottle shop stocks 4 kinds of bourbon and cola and every available type of pre mixed Bundaberg rum, all across two whole fridges. Ask for a decent beer or wine though and you may be directed to the Crown or Queen Adelaide Chardy, much to your and my dismay. The do however cater for the fairer sex with a selection of Bacardi breezers and pre mixed vodkas, most of which somehow when empty end up in the local parks.

I think that this is not true, there's the river which can be kayaked upon, 27 kilometres of lovely river land heading to the mouth, or towards Caboolture lakes. The arboretum for walks along the river and the fact that Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast are only a drive away, Bribie Island, Maleny and Woodford not far away. The action for night-life may not be here but that's better for the lifestyle as everything is close by.
