What's it like for the over 60 year olds?
Bomaderry, NSW 2541 is located within the Shoalhaven local government area, part of the Illawarra Region in New South Wales.
My mum is considering downsizing to Bomaderry so she can be closer to us. We live in Gerringong and she lives in Wollstonecraft (north Sydney). Would you suggest it as a good safe and social area for older folks? She drives but if there are local shops it would be great to know.
She also swims so any insight into the swimming pool and similar facilities would be good. I'm nearby but haven't used the pool.

It's a wonderful spot. My mum loves it. Great pool, great walkable town with good footpaths, great social clubs for older people (like Salvos fundraising groups). She is very social and goes to aqua aerobics and is part of a gardening club.
