BOWEN NQ?

We are a married couple with two kids (3 and 6) - living on the mid-north-coast of N.S.W. We are planning on re-locating to Bowen in December/January due to apparent job opportunities for my husband. We are curious as to the quality of the primary schools, the preferred neighbourhoods, the areas to avoid while renting....? etc. would love any information from locals? We'd like to live out of the town centre but definitely within 'easy access'
