My children all went to Colo, and I went there too. I chose the school as at the time it had the best name of the public high schools in the area, and it was in our catchment. Other schools like Hawkesbury High have spent the last few years striving for change and doing very well- so not sure across the board if it ranks as high as it did in comparison, but its still a good school.
It has an odd start time of 8am which for us proved difficult as we had no bus to the door- but I'm sure many liked the early start/early finish. In my personal experience I found that if you are an academic child or have educational self motivation the school is fine and it has a strong record in results and achievements. I've had no experiences of bullying with any of my 3 children, though I'm sure like any school it occurs. It has had 3 principals over the last 8 years and I definitely noticed that who the principal was did make a huge difference to the standard of leadership and teaching at the school. If you're child has low self motivation, or is easily distracted or not academic, then they will potentially only get the basics out of the school- or that was our experience. The design of the school is pleasing, and its agricultural opportunities are strong. Hope that helps!
