Reviews of Briar Hill, VIC

"Little Gem"

Great family friendly suburb conveniently located with easy access to the Plaza, Eltham and Were st and surrounding parklands. Wide range of schooling options, good bus routes and accessible to Greensborough and Monty stations. Lacking a little in the culinary space compared to the inner ring but that’s a reasonable trade off for peaceful and beautiful streets and friendly community.

"A Nice Place to Live"

A quite small suburb, but with all the features most families would need. There's schools all around and Greensborough plaza nearby. Enough greenery to keep your inner enviromentalist happy too.

A lovely community, great neighbours. Many options for childcare, pre-schools, primary and high schools. Shopping walking distance. Monty very close. And public transport at door. Leafy green area. And some have city views.

"Family friendly Briar Hill"

This is a quiet pocket of suburbia which is ideal for families. It is well serviced by buses (especially the Smart Bus which goes up Sherbourne Road) and is only 10 minutes walk from Briar Hill shops to Montmorency train station and the lovely Montmorency shopping village. Briar Hill shops are small but very friendly. We have a hairdresser, fish & chip shop, bakery, pool supplies shop, newsagent, florist, chemist, pizza and pasta restaurant and Midas for car servicing. Just down the road at the lovely Purdy's furniture store (which has a great range of gifts as well) there is a cafe with lots of lovely 'homemade' treats. There are two primary schools (both great) in Briar Hill and Montmorency Secondary College is only 10 minutes walk from the shops. It's very easy to avoid using your car if you live in this suburb, but it is only 5 minutes by car to Greensborough Plaza which caters for most needs. Briar Hill is great for walking around to keep fit and has a number of parks for the children. I love living here!
