Any recommendations for a safe and clean suburb between Brisbane (CBD) and the Gold Coast (Robina)?

As I am currently looking for a new job in Brisbane and my partner is working in Robina, I was wondering if you know any safe and clean suburbs half way between Brisbane CBD and Robina (Gold Coast). Thank you! :-)
