Best suburb for a family moving to Brisbane?

I have a 2 and 4 year old kids, so need a good school (public or private), commuting to and from the city is not a priority as my Husband will be FIFO in the mines (so he just needs to drive to and from the airport). Am looking in spending about $550,000 on a house with a pool. I am looking into this as our home to bring our children up in for the next 10 years. I also do not want to feel like I am living in the city (if this makes any sense, I lived on the NB of Sydney and that was nice).
