How serious the mosquito borne diseases in Brisbane?

Brisbane Region is located in the state of Queensland.

Hi, I'm thinking of moving to Brisbane from NZ, but just worry about the mosquito-borne diseases (particularly Ross River Virus) which is regularly reported. I really want to know how prevalent that issue is from the perspective of a local resident.
