I'm a single professional moving to Brisbane for work.. where should I live !

Hi there , I am a professional single lady moving to Brisbane to get out of sydneys overcrowded and over priced nature! I will be working in Brisbane but I know i do not want to live in the cbd it's just too expensive. I am hoping to rent a small house / duplex for around $250 a week / highest & $300.. with a small back yard as I have 2 little dogs... I am wanting to live in a safe but cheap and affordable suburb and am willing to travel up to 45 mins in order to get to work.. could I have some suggestions on the safest and most affordable suburbs ?
