Small towner victorians seeking change in QLD, overwhelmed. HELP!

Hi there! My husband, 3 young children and I getting ready to relocate to qld in the next 6 months from regional Vic. we don't want to be more than an hour from Brisbane but we are really after a smaller coastal town with great community spirit and friendly people. Im a nurse and hubby is in automotive industry. Please no realestate propaganda, just honest locals this is a huge move for us and we want to be sure its the right one. Thank you
