Thinking about moving from Sydney to Brisbane,

I currently live on Sydneys Northern Beaches, love it here but its just too expensive on one income.
would like to move to a similar feel of area, close to the water, good schools, cafes, restaurants.
Also could you give me rough travel time to the CBD from any suggested area.
