Where is good to live without a car?
Me and my boyfriend are moving to Brisbane next year and hoping to not have to own a car. Would prefer to live by the beach but most importantly, would need great public transport and shops etc near by.
We are a young couple but we are not into clubbing, drinking etc. Would live to live somewhere quiet, safe and friendly with great walks and restaurants.
Hopefully this is not to much to ask for!

HI Hayley,
You could try the Manly area, there is a train station there. If you are wanting to live near the beach with good transport I would suggest the Gold Coast instead. Brisbane is a 'car city' and it is really only the inner city areas you can get away with not having a car (if you don't want to wait all the time for transport).
