Best primary school in Bulimba/Hawthorne/Morningside area?
My young family & I have just moved to Hawthorne, Brisbane. I am after a primary school recommendation in the area? Have heard mixed reviews about the catholic primary school in the area.

Bulimba State School is a great public primary school. However, if you're mainly looking for private primary schools, there are a few very highly regarded P-12 schools that are easily accessible from Hawthorne.
Best P-12 schools in close proximity would be:
- Anglican Church Grammar School, aka "Churchie" (boys only)
- St Margaret's Anglican Girls School (girls only)
- Somerville House (girls only)
Those are some of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Brisbane.
St Margaret's is in Ascot but they have private buses that service Hawthorne and surrounding suburbs. St Margaret's has had the best primary NAPLAN results in QLD the last couple years. Somerville and Churchie also do exceptionally well academically.
I haven't heard the best things about St Peters & Pauls, but then again, different kids flourish in different environments.
If you're particularly after co-ed, I recommend looking at Cannon Hill Anglican College. I've heard great things about that school and they're just one suburb over from Morningside. Hope this helps!
