Does anyone have some information about Burbank?

It looks like it somewhat similar to Rochedale, but more green? From the looks of it, you can get a well sizes house with quite some land over there, but is it affordable?

Burbank is a beautiful place. Not too far out of town but far enough to be away from everything. Prices are going up in the area but it is not in the development zone like Rochedale so they are not ridiculous. However a nice house on a good size block is still going to be fairly expensive as it is probably the closest acreage property to the city available. Really depends on what your budget is as to what "affordable" is.

Burbank is a great place to live if you can afford it. I submitted a review about it as I rented there for about 8 months. It is very peaceful and spacious and there are many old country cottages. It's about a 20 min drive from the city (longer in peak hour), 10 min to Mt Gravatt and 10 min to Redlands Bayside. It's very central and convenient. However, if you like having shops close to you that you can duck in and out of, it doesn't exist in Burbank. You will need to go for either a 10 min drive to Capalaba or 10 to Wishart to get your bread and butter. If you live on a main road in Burbank, it can feel scary sometimes trying to get into your driveway in the afternoon as most main roads in Burbank have an 80km speed limit.

Hi Derek.. Im currently living in Mackenzie but seriously thinking of moving to acreage, around an acre or so.. Burbank sounds promising but would love to know the current land only price.
