"A hidden gem"

A hidden gem up Greenhill Rd before you hit the hills, and away from Burnside Village (which is in Glenside not Burnside), you'll find tree lined streets and a wide array of family houses from the small to the very large - depending on which street you walk down. With the Feathers Hotel for a simple drink and a feed or Lockwood General for amazing coffee - it's a really haven away from the busy city.

Looking for a home in Burnside?

"parking permits"

Shame on you Burnside, gready money hungry, can not print what I really think of you. Rates go up each year, the streets are durty and over grown with weeds, the inner steet lighting in a lot of streets is useless, and now you won't more money for parking permits. Each year you take more and give less. We all know the history of money corruption in the Burnside council, nothing changes.

"Not where all think it is, it is actually even better!"

When you say Burnside everyone automatically thinks Burnside Village, however the Suburb Burnside is up the hill a little more up Greenhill rd. So yes you still have great access to the iconic Burnside village, Burnside council, the Parade down at Norwood, 10 minutes to the city but your just far enough away to be surrounded by trees, views, parks and a great family area. Burnside is great suburb and if you dont want to be right in the hustle and bustle but want access to it all, Burnside will deliver!

Great for

  • Great access in and out to various areas via Green hill rd and Glynburn rd
  • 10mins from CBD
  • 2 mins from burnside village
  • Leafy tree-lined streets

It's a bit of a misnomer the whole Burnside Village thing. That's actually in Glenside but people confuse that for the mental hospital hence the name of the shopping mall.

Burnside is one of the best suburbs in Adelaide. Only 10 mins to the CBD. Very wide streets (which is great for when visitors come vistiting, parking is easy!) Very good Internet Access. There isn't much Nightlife in Burnside, but luckily your just 10 mins to the city (30 mins in peak hour)

So move to Burnside!

A lovely part of town.I am not happy that with a few exceptions they have turned Burnside Village into this fashion heaven for designer label lovers though. It could do with a food court.

"A leading location in SA - an eastern suburbs gem"

This blue ribbon location is blue ribbon for very good reason! Situated in the heart of Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, Burnside offers an excellent lifestyle. Great for lifestyle, and you're only 15 minutes from the Adelaide Hills and 25 minutes from the beach.

Travelling to the CBD is very easy. Just a 15 minute drive to the heart of the city (although closer to 30 minutes in peak hour, which seems to be between just 8:15 and 8:45 in the morning and 5:30 to 6:00 in the evening), or otherwise just catch one of the buses and you'll be there in about 20 minutes.

At the heart of the suburb is Burnside Village, a huge complex which offers everything you need - a large Coles supermarket, a number of gourmet food shops, pharmacies, a huge range of clothing, shoe and jewellery shops, hair and beauty salons, post office, banks and a number of cafes and coffee bars.

The surrounding streets are perfect for walking/jogging, and there are a few good gyms just a short drive away.

The area has some nice restaurants in walking distance, but a good pub is lacking. The closest is probably the Robin Hood near Norwood, which would only be a 5 minute drive or $10 taxi fare. The closest cinema is on the Norwood Parade, also just a 5-10 minute drive away.

The homes in the region range from large old homes with big gardens (often with a tennis court and/or pool) to modern executive townhouses designed with ease of living in mind.
