Thinking of moving to cairns?
Cairns City, QLD 4870 is located within the Cairns local government area, part of the Far North Region in Queensland.
Hoping to move to cairns later this year. I'm a carpenter by trade and just wondering is there much work in the area. What's the best places to look for a house to rent for first year.
I've heard mixed opinions about the place.
Pros and cons. Moving from brissy so just want as much info as possible.

It's who you know. Work is picking up. Cairns is set for a boom soon. Overdue. Summers are bloody humid. Locals are friendly. Move to northern beaches. These are trinity Beach, kewarra beach, Clifton Beach and palm Cove. Don't move down south, it's a dump. Stay away from m suburbs. People say m suburbs are good now but check the Cairns crime reports. It's bs.
