has anyone moved from sydney to the northern beaches cairns

Im wanting to move from Sydney cbd to the northern beaches in cairns eg: Clifton beach,Trinity beach,Kewarra beach or Palm cove. Can anyone recommend a particular area? I will be renting a place to begin with.I will be moving with my 5 year old daughter so being close to a primary school is a must and would like to be close to a shopping centre or just local grocery store and cafes would be great.

Yorkeys Nnob has the best state school in the area I think.

Definately palm cove! Great atmosphere and lovely set out, close to clifton beach shopping centre which isnt large but big enough to accommodate your needs as far as grocery shopping is concerned! And also few primary schools in close proximity

The problem is they are so far from the city. As long as you are happy to be that remote with not much around. For me I'd rather live closer to cairns CBD and drive to the beaches.
