Safeway shopping is a disaster!

It's improved immensely over the past six months. Obviously it gets most busy Friday afternoons and Saturday 2-4pm but with the self serve checkouts and more express lines it has reduced waiting times. It does have a great variety and the new design/fitout is nice (for a supermarket).

I heard somewhere Safeway Camberwell is the most profitable in Australia.

I like it when a supermarket goes nuts and moves everything around. So you can't find your usual stuff but you find heaps of other cool thing like cherry jam or Russian biscuits you'd never seen before! A bit of chaos is fun.

benola: I LOVE the self service checkouts!! Sometimes they are actually slower, but i think they are fun :)

Problem with self service checkouts is that a human needs to check your credit card signature. And this can delay the process.

Agreed - and checkouts provide jobs so lets keep people in jobs in supermarkets.
