Midway between Sydney and Canberra and within easy reach of the picturesque tourist villages that dot the region, Canyonleigh is a big rural area at the south-western corner of the NSW Southern Highlands. Canyonleigh Road is the continuation of the Illawarra Highway and it crosses the Hume Highway at Hoddles Crossing between Sutton Forest and Marulan. The majority of Canyonleigh's properties are on or accessed by Tugalong Road, a predominantly sealed road which runs for many kilometres out towards a valley that, were it connected, would link with the Megalong Valley and Blue Mountains.
