Is Capalaba suitable for a young family?

Hi All, my Partner & I are looking at buying a property in Capalaba and I was hoping if anyone could shed some light on what the suburb is like for a young family please as we are moving interstate and not very aware of the area? We are looking at properties near Tingalpa Reservoir. I have been told before that there are certain streets to steer clear of but I don't know if there is any truth in those comments but if there is, what streets would be best to avoid? Any advice, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much

Hi Kathy,

As a young family currently living in Capalaba, we've are very happy here. There are three good schools to choose from, modern playgrounds as well as a regional park. There are also a few childcare centres to choose from. There are two large shopping centres along with lots of retail shopping like furnishings, lifestyle etc. Access to the city and M1 Motorway are easy.

I've always suggested to families that if they are looking for a family friendly area to steer away from areas with a high concentration of units/townhouses. Most of the suburb is low density housing.

Hope this helps!
