Many factors make The Castro one of the most popular and expensive areas in town recently (nice properties, great weather, central location, transit connections). For home values in the area, a good rule of thumb is: the better the view, the more expensive. In the Castro, this can differ even on the same street, because they wind up and down, and the views at any specific point on the street can change dramatically from block to block. In general, Liberty Heights (Liberty, 19th, 20th, 21st by Church and Sanchez), Corona Heights (States, Uranus, Saturn, 17th, 16th, 15th, etc) have amazing views), and there's always Kite Hill (by Eagle, Short, Caselli, Douglas, etc)....if you need more information, just let me know how I can help...
