18 months ago, we were Brisbanites looking around for several months for a tree change lifestyle. Sick of the traffic, neighbours only metres next door, hoons on the roads, job dissatisfaction and basically OVER living in the burbs, we decided to pull up roots while we were still young enough to do so and make the move to a quieter lifestyle... somewhere where we would be happy to retire.

We instantly fell in love with Gympie and it's people and in particular, Tamaree. We are only 6klms from the CBD but you would never know it. We have a small acreage block on a no through road with a dam, where we have built our new home and are constantly delighted with the assortment of wildlife that is attracted to it. The stars at night are awesome, without city lights to dull them down and the sounds of frogs and crickets on the dam replaces the traffic noise we used to put up with. We have never once regretted our decision to live here.
Our families are only an hour and a half away, straight down the highway and we want for nothing in the way of goods and services here. The people here are friendly and love this area as much as we do.
