I concur with Donnas comments above that the fireworks at the end of Beach Rd was always a sensational event. However the location made it extermely difficult to control and police any unruly ,disorderly individuals. This made the shift to the South Adelaide Football Club Oval and it does actually work very well. The City of Onkaparinga really do a brilliant job at putting this spectacle together and the Mayor Lorraine Rosenburg, her staff and the councillors do a great job in co-ordinating it. It is really well worth the efoort to check it out and there is bags of parking across the road in Colonnades which is a benefit.

I miss the Australia Day fireworks on the beach, it was always a fantastic event for the family. Would be great to see it back in action again.

Yes there is at the annual Onkaparinga City Council 'Bush Fair' that is held at the South Adelaide footy club. They promote '3D' fireworks.....how cool is that! It's a free event for the community and is a great way to see in the new year! Cheers, Jason
