Is traffic noise an issue for those living in the Canberra CBD?

For those renting short term apartments it can be as they do not have as much noise reduction and they are located on the main road. However, for permanent rentals or private apartments traffic noise is not so much of an issue because they have double glazing and other barriers to block out the noise.
