Skenandoa Club is in Clinton and isn't half bad. It's a pretty enough course and though I'm not a member I wouldn't mind joining at some point. It's a good close-by golf course :)

There is the Mashomack Preserve Club with dining, lodging and outdoor shooting in Pine Plains, NY which is about 10 miles away and the Wiltwyck Country Club in Kingston, NY which is about 12 miles away. Wiltwyck does have an attractive 18-hole golf course.
