You can hop on the Metro North train to go North or South. This would give you an easy visit to Beacon or Peekskill

The trolley, which is very festive and a kick to ride in, also goes to Boscobel (for tours and for the Shakespeare Festival plays), as well as to Garrison Landing.

The only legitimate bus service that runs through Cold Spring is Putnam Transit, which also runs throughout the county. There is a seasonal trolley that also runs throughout the summer that carries tourists through the village.
