Yes. Preston Street has a nice but small cafe strip with some nightlife. It's on the Swan River near Como jetty where you can ride bikes and even swim during the day. It has good restaurants, an art deco cinema, a 24-hour supermarket with great fresh food, some small boutiques, and several hotels with a few pubs and bars.
