Is Port Coogee a good place for young families?

I don't think Port Coogee falls into the Coogee PS catchment area so you may want to check what schools you would fall into as some are better than others. There are no good parks at Port Coogee which is disappointing but some 10-15min drive. The marina is great for swimming though as previously mentioned as is the beach and there is a popular surf lifesaving club. Decent child care is a bit of a drive (Fremantle or beeliar). Just note there's no good high schools around.

The only shark protected beach in Perth, with protected waters like the Mediterranean, unlike the unsafe rips north of Fremantle.
The area itself is extremely safe as a friendly affluent area, planned like a village on the beach.
