"Looks deceive"

I found it somewhat difficult to integrate into this local area over 18 months, despite having 3 jobs serving the general public and trying to get to know people such as in neighbourhood / community groups

"Theres something special going on in Cremorne: its a calm blend of old-school style with youthful vigour."

Walk into any cafe in Cremorne and youll see a quick snapshot of the locals who make up the area. Young twenty-somethings and older sixty-everythings are ordering up caf-lattes to go, but the majority of homeowners are between 35 and 55, often professionals in white-collar industries. Blessed with parklands, fringed by water and boasting wide footpaths, this sliver of Sydney offers up the space and freedom of suburbia but is still only six kilometres from the city. Through its heart runs the busy Military Road, while the suburb itself sits snugly next Neutral Bay and Mosman. Theres also Cremorne Point to the south, a more exclusive enclave, which claims prime positioning in the Harbour.

During the week, Military Road ferries busy commuters back and forth from work but come the weekend, its also the spot where locals go for provedores, cold-drip coffee and the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace a stunning 1930s Art Deco cinema, complete with wurlitzer pipe organ.

A stroll to Primrose Park and youll find tennis courts, walking trails and the quaint community Art and Crafts Centre, not to mention sparkling water views. SCECGS Redlands, a co-educational private school, has its senior campus in Military Road and the junior and middle campus is found in Murdoch Street.

Renters are on the rise in Cremorne, so its no surprise to find plenty of apartment blocks in the area ranging from Art Deco to more modern multi-dwelling builds.
Freestanding Federation and Californian Bungalows dot the streets, the most beautiful example being the heritage listed Belvedere designed by Alexander Stewart Jolly in 1919. Military Road provides plenty of hum, with plenty of old fashioned high street stores and more modern restaurants.

Dont be fooled by the quiet streets, the charming cinema and the laidback lifestyle: this is a place where hard working Sydney folk cool their heels. The real beauty of the postcode is that once youre north of the Bridge, theres a true sense of serenity, not to mention a gateway to the glorious Northern Beaches.

"Cremorne is an elegant suburb of leafy vistas and stunning harbour views!"

Located 6kms from the CBD with Mosman to the north and Neutral Bay to the south, Cremorne is an elegant suburb of leafy vistas and stunning harbour views.

With an array of eclectic boutiques, cafes and restaurants at Cremorne Junction, its also home to the historic Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace. Built in 1935, the art deco architecture and design has been restored and its a stunning example of the period.

There are cycle tracks, parks and beautiful bushland reserves to explore and the area is well serviced by buses and ferries.

The northern end of the suburb offers a serene and pretty neighbourhood with water views to Middle Harbour and the south side faces Sydney Harbour with magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. This stylish suburb appeals to families and professionals, residents enjoy quiet surrounds, vibrant shopping and the close proximity to the city.

"A great place to live"

Cremorne is situated between Mosman and Neutral Bay on the lower North Shore. It is within close proximity to the city by bus or ferry.
