Is Mildred Ave a safe place for young, single professional female to move?

Culver / West, California null is located within the Culver City local government area, part of the Los Angeles County Region in undefined.

Moving to LA in the summer, only been once and am unfamiliar with the neighborhoods. Found an affordable place. Have heard bad things about half a mile away on Inglewood between Venice and Washington. I want to be in a safe, quiet neighborhood. I want to feel safe walking from my car to my front door. What is the crime like here? What is the demographic of the neighborhood?

I looked it up on a couple of crime reporting websites and other than some burglaries in the area it actually seems pretty safe. Culver City is no longer too bad from what I understand. Now there certainly are dangerous areas nearby. Inglewood is very dangerous and you definitely don't want to go out for walks in the middle of the night by yourself (as with any big city), but overall that looks like an okay spot so long as you take common sense precautions that any single female would take.

As to demographics, here is good resource for researching hard numbers on that:

It is put out by the LA Times so it is totally solid in terms of data. Okay, have fun this summer.
