"Great suburb with everything close by"

Perfect for small and large families. Conveniently located with a new woollies which is currently under construction. Train station is close by and has an express train to CBD. Heaps of walking tracks nearby too.

"Beautiful, modern, & leafy suburb"

My partner was fortunate to build our large house here in Dakabin about 8 years ago. I have lived here for 5 years and it is a lovely suburb to raise our young son in. It is close to parks and a short drive to Lake Eden and Westfield in our neighbouring suburb. It is only a half hour train trip to Brisbane CBD. The university (USC) is only 1 train stop away. Dakabin is in the process of developing a shopping village including a Woolworths, cafes, and other retail stores and services.
All of the townhouses along Alma look lovely but cheapen the area... as most of Dakabin is filled with large family homes.

"great location with easy access to everything you need"

Living in Dakabin for 3 years now after building my own home, the major reason we moved here was the Dakabin express train that will bring you in 30 minutes to Brisbane CBD for work. Very affordable neighbourhood with all facilities and more on a few minutes in North lakes. You can also enter the highway easily and go to the sunnie coast for leisure in 45 minutes. My family thinks its a great green spot in the middle of Moreton Bay with access to everything you need and with an even better future if you look at the central location and ongoing upgrades happening in and around it.

"Changing dynamic with a good mix of young ones and seniors"

Dakabin is in transition from semi rural small acreage properties to medium density urban environment with a decent amount of green space provided. Having built a new home here in 2012 I have seen the suburb grow into a vibrant community with a good mix of families, young professionals, and downsizing seniors. Its proximity to North Lakes is a major plus with the recent construction of a new bridge (Plantation Rd) making the trip a breeze (literally 5 minutes). This opens up all of the shopping (Costco, Masters, Bunnings, and Ikea which is under construction), medical, entertainment (cinemas under construction, golf course) and educational pluses (Uni to be constructed at Petrie - 5 minutes drive). If you are considering a move to Brisbane, this north side location provides all the advantages of close proximity to a satellite city (North Lakes) with an easy 40 minute commute to the Brisbane CBD if required (train 10 minute walk away). 20 minutes drive to the beaches and cafes/restaurants of Redcliffe Peninsula provides you with more recreational options. Permanent discounted petrol (thanks to Costco) makes this area very affordable. Overall an underrated suburb that meets or exceeds all aspects of the top 10 in Brisbane.

"Where else would you be....."

Luv the spirit of neighbourhood. Quite,Safe and sound suburb, where you can grow your family with everything on walking distance... plus Moreton Bay's building road link direct to Westfield North lakes, will reduce driving distance from 10 mins to 5 mins...ETA of road link project is end of 2013

"Great Central Location"

Dakabin is centrally located. You get the peace and quiet lifestyle at home, but you are a stone's throw from North Lakes, shopping, retail therapy, movies and whatever else you need. you are about 15 mins from Chermside - a larger version of North Lakes but what North Lakes will become in time. You have a wide choice of schools in the area, public and private as you are central between North Lakes and Strathpine/Bald Hills. You can walk to schools in the local area or you you can take a short walk to the train station and go to the Strathpine/Bald Hills schools with all the other children who travel. Services are great with all phone and net companies, including the Optus "Fusion" packages which are excellent. Pay TV and mobile phones/net also brilliant. So, you can step out to the night life and then come home to peace and quiet to recharge yourself for the next time. Great for families and we have come to know our neighbours and talk regularly. the kids also play in the street like days of old and we all keep an eye out to watch them. All in all a great area to be that is slightly hidden from the outside world enough to keep its own serenity......aahhh the serenity :)

"A Quiet Suburb suitable for All.."

If you want a decent size property without going to far from shops etc.. take a look at Dakabin just like everywhere else it is growing rapidly but is still holding some beautiful sort after properties.
You are within driving distance of everything you could need and public transport is just around the corner also. But the area is unpolluted with corporate business so remains a nice suburban place to live.
