Is Dunlop a good area for young families?

Absolutely, the neighbourhood is very safe. people are friendly and there are parks playgrounds in every corner.
There are very less townhouse and no medium or high density housing , so population is spread out providing you more privacy and quite environment. the new section of Dunlop ( The Meadows) are the most beautiful part of west Belconnen with great views of brindabella mountains and heaps of park land and playgrounds.there are special biking tracks and footpath for riding, running or a walk with family.
No gathering place for teens or trouble spot in Dunlop, there is only a brand new small Woolworths that provides convince for the residents, but bigger shopping can be done at kippax shopping centre (5 minutes drive) where supermarkets, cafes, chemists and other shops are!
If you live in the old dunlop south of ginninderra you are in the mcgregor primary school zone and if you live west of kerrigan avenue in the beautiful section of Dunlop , the Meadows, you can send kids to Fraser primary school, a great primary school.
