Hi Terry,
Pickering Street is quite a busy road it also has the Ferny Grove train line running behind it.
In the short term I would expect traffic to get a lot heavier in the next year or so whilst the Samford/Wardell Road intersection is being constructed. Once this is complete it should get back to normal. there are a lot of great streets that come off Pickering Street.
